Mark Ellerker

Its a strange title for a blog post on a coaching site I know.  But in practice, this is one of the most common words I hear potential new clients describe their situation, the things they are looking to change.  “You’re going to think this is bonkers I know but…”

The thing is, when we take a step back and take the time to look at what’s going on, our conscious minds can see that feeling stressed, or not being able to function properly, or having an addiction does seem to match that ‘bonkers’ word.  Our conscious minds however don’t run our lives as much as we think they do, and most of our habits and emotions are coming from the unconscious mind.

That’s why when we work together to get the changes you need, we use strategies to bring unconscious behaviours into the conscious mind.  We also recognise that its not simply a matter of thinking our way out of the problems we face.

Its easy to see how some behaviours might seem ‘bonkers’ when they are not understood.  By taking the time to understand them in the context of your own history, and the context of models such as human needs psychology, you can make sense of them and then make positive changes towards the results you need.

Each client starts with a free discovery session. 30 minutes to discuss what’s going on and what you need.   If you’d like to get started, contact me to book yours in.
