Why Choose Mark
About Your Coach - Mark Ellerker
You may be wondering why I would be the right person as your coach. I have worked professionally as a personal coach since 2005 and I am fully qualified as a Master Practitioner of NLP and Master Hypnotherapist, both certificates through the American Board. My life coaching certification was gained in the UK. The coaching method I find most successful and rewarding is called Strategic Intervention and I was trained by the Robbins-Madanes Institute. Of course, certificates don’t guarantee that someone is a great coach so please take a look at the personal testimonials on this site to know that I deliver great results. Previous clients have sought help to change eating habits, deal with anxieties over things like public speaking, interviews and new jobs. My experience prior to private coaching and therapy has been 15 years in the financial and service sector leading teams to high performance, managing operational change and implementing process improvements for efficiency. If you are developing a small business I can also empathise with your challenges as I have grown a small coffee shop business through a challenging recession and have instigated and chaired a business forum in my home town of Ossett, West Yorkshire, bringing businesses and community groups together with the aim of restoring pride in the town. Helping people to overcome their personal obstacles and achieve their potential is my passion, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
How a good coach works
A good coach will help you to achieve more and feel better about it, gaining clarity on what you want and being specific. For example, many people will say “I want more money”. That’s fine. But how much, by when, how would you like to achieve that and what actions are you going to take?
A good coach will also work with you to make sure your goals are ecological and contextual, that means, are they right for you and your situation right now? Do they work well for the situation around you? Does the end result really meet your needs? Are they really your goals or something that someone else wants you to achieve?
You can expect a good coach to be there to support, to help you with ideas, improve your creativity and hold you accountable to the things you want to achieve. A coach can help with contacts. And a good coach will certainly support you with motivation and keeping your motivation tip top through the rough times. As your coach I am committed to delivering on all these qualities.
